Hoa has over 32 years working in aquaculture research and industry and he is well-known in Vietnam and SEA region as a shrimp expert in both nutrition and farm-management practices. His background is Bachelor in Aquaculture (1989-1994) from Nong Lam University – Vietnam, and Master of Science in Aquaculture (2001-2003) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Biological Science (2005-2009) both from Ghent University, Belgium. Hoa has served as Cargill’s Technical Director for Empyreal products, a business of Cargill Branded Feed in Nebraska. In this role, he acts as technical support and consults for customers and prospects in application of Empyreal 75 and MOTIV products in the animal and aqua feed mills.
Dr. Loc Tran is an aquaculture researcher and technical specialist with expertise in shrimp biology, nutrition, and health management. His work focuses on optimizing production systems, specifically regarding broodstock nutrition, larval quality, and the pathophysiology of shrimp diseases. By integrating experimental research with field-based validation, he develops scalable, practical solutions that enhance biosecurity, farming efficiency, and resilience across the shrimp industry.
Thanh is a researcher at ShrimpVet with over eight years of experience leading more than 500 R&D projects across the shrimp life-cycle. In collaboration with global experts, his work translates laboratory innovation into field success in broodstock reproductive performance, larvae culture technology, and disease control. These contributions provide the industry with validated solutions that enhance the efficiency and profitability of the global shrimp sector.
Romi Novriadi is an expert in sustainable aquaculture production with over 20 years of experience. He has served as Director of the World Aquaculture Society – Asia Pacific chapter and held roles including Researcher at Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Secretary General of the Indonesia Aquaculture Society, Global Advisor for the Seafood Consumers Association, and Editor in Chief of Media Akuakultur. He has published more than 35 peer-reviewed articles. A VLIR-UOS and Fulbright scholar, his work focuses on intensive farming systems, economical aqua-feed, nutrition, novel ingredients, and strengthening links between research and industry.
Dr. Pradeep serves as the Asia Pacific Regional Coordinator at Leiber GmbH, Germany, a leading manufacturer of brewer’s yeast products for life science and animal nutrition applications. In this role, he supports distribution partners across the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions and leads the strategic planning of technical, commercial, and marketing activities for the Animal Nutrition Division, covering livestock, pet, and aquaculture species. Dr. Pradeep works closely with feed and premix producers, farmers, and scientific institutions to advance innovative and sustainable nutrition solutions. He earned his PhD from the Institute of Tropical Aquaculture and Fisheries, Malaysia. A trained fish and shrimp farmer, Dr. Pradeep has hands-on experience in aquaculture production systems, enabling him to bridge scientific research with practical farming applications.
Simon Chung is the CEO of GeneReach Biotechnology, which focuses on rapid molecular diagnostic and PCR-based testing technologies for infectious diseases and aquaculture applications.
Chung has contributed to multiple scientific publications related to field-deployable PCR diagnostics, including dengue virus detection and influenza testing systems. His work emphasizes portable and rapid diagnostic tools for healthcare, veterinary, and aquaculture industries
